Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

CAN-med Healthcare locations have taken prevention measures to minimize the health risks to employees and customers.

Effective Thursday March 19, 2020, CAN-med locations will be closed to the public indefinitely.

Customers will continue to place orders in their usual manner.

Any facility requesting service will be questioned about symptoms and access before service is provided.

Our technical staff will continue to provide emergency service under strict guidelines.

  • Product will be sanitized before any work is done on equipment in the facility;
  • Customers will be asked to respect social distancing;
  • Product being brought into the facility will be sanitized before delivery;
  • Product returning to the shop will be sanitized before being returned.

We have identified critical staff that will continue to support business at our locations. All other staff are working from home. There may be a delay in returning messages during this time due to technology challenges.

In our locations we have implemented social distancing measures. Travel and meetings have been suspended. Surfaces in the work space are being disinfected.

Personal protection products, sterilization products and sanitizers are provided to employees.

Employees are applying hygiene practices as prescribed by the health authorities.

All employees that have travelled out of the country within the last two weeks are in self-isolation for two weeks.


Senior management have set up a dedicated committee that regularly meets to assess the level of risk associated with COVID-19 and make sure the appropriate procedures have been implemented and communicated to employees and customers.
